The only way primitive religion exists today is through the child abuse of forcing it into very, very young children but thanks to better education and growing intellects so many teens are able to discover the truth, throw off the indoctrination and step into the real world!
People who are prisoners of indoctrination CANNOT even know what free will is!!!!!!!!!

God allows you to love or hate. The goodness in the world comes from those who love. The bad comes from those who don't love or hate. That is free will. He didn't program us all to be good because we would be robots. WE have to choose who we are and who we will follow. Jesus or satan. no choice gets satan, choose wisely.

I did,. We just had this conversation. All you did was Ad hom and babble about brain structure. and when I asked you to explain all your babbling further by sending me a detailed message explainng your argument so we could discuss it further you said that you wouldn't because I had demonstrated the quality of my mind and that you were not charitable. Whatever that means.. I am once again unable to see any reason to believe that freewill is nonexistent. The atheist should believe in it especially. If there's one thing that we do in this world, its make choices both good and bad. But let's start small. What is freewill according to you Peter? Define it. Hopefully this time you can actually argue your point.

Common sense free will:

Dad: Do you want McDonald's or Burger King?
Son: Burger King
Dad: Okay. We will go to Burger King
God-Style Free Will:
-----------------------------------
Dad: Do you want McDonald's or Burger King?
Son: Burger King
Dad: Okay. At some unknown time, I will lock you in a room and beat you up for the rest of your life
Son: Why????
Dad: Because you didn't choose McDonald's.
Son: Why couldn't you just say that we are going to McDonald's?
Dad: Because I didn't want to force you. I wanted you to make the choice out of love
Son: But you are forcing me, kind of

I won't take the bait.
But I do believe in "free will."
I was going to have some soup for lunch today. But then I changed my mind. And how did that happen?
I exercised my FREE WILL.
If we have free will to make little decisions, it is no different for big decisions.
And certainly, the bible does support the idea of free will.
Where people get messed up on this whole "free will" thing is that the bible does talk about the ELECT. That is, that God knew exactly who was going to be a Christian even before they were born, and before he created the universe. And they assume is it because God CHOOSE them.
But really, it is because God does not reside within the time/space dimension. God knows the entire past, present, and future right now. So God knows who is going to end up accepting the free gift of salvation, and who is not. And he knows this because he is omniscient. Our tiny brains have a hard time understanding this. But that doesn't change the reality of it all.
Does that make sense to you?
=====
You ask, "no the structure or 'programing' of your brain did that.. you could not have done otherwise. just like a robot could have done the same thing, if it was chaotic and complex enough."
You are talking nonsense by making unsupported and meaningless statements.
You making the assumption that I decided to not have soup due to my brain programming. But I never told you that I am OUT OF SOUP. So that decision was made for me. That's why I didn't have soup today. I'm not making a special trip to the store just for soup. I'll eat something else.
Obviously, I exercised my "free will" by deciding to NOT eat soup. If I really wanted soup, I would have gone to the store. But I decided not to. See? FREE WILL at work. So obvious.
It is possible that your BRAIN has been PROGRAMMED into not thinking. Some people call this "mind-blindness." It's a sad condition. Most of the people who have mind-blindness are NOT AWARE they have it. That might include YOU. (Just guessing.)

Hell no. But if you wait around long enough, somebody will.
