Gravity was planned in the timeless and perfect intelligence of God as a cosmological constant necessary for the creation of the universe. It came into existence as a physical law governing the Big Bang. If God had not dialed the gravitational constant perfectly, the universe would not exist. If it were too weak, the Big Bang would never have formed stars and planets. If it were too strong, the matter formed in the Big Bang would have collapsed back into its point of origin, a black hole.
