10 gallon tank. I wanna set it up. So how many cups of salt. Is it all like a regular Fresh water? With Alkiny, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia and all that but with salt?i know I need a hydrometer. But am I missing anything?

Brackish tanks vary in salinity, but the most is about 4 tablespoons in 10 gallons.

A hydrometer is better than just measuring because the salinity changes due to evaporation and partial water changes.

Use freshwater aquarium salt, or marine aquarium salt, not table salt.

If fish are in the tank do not make sudden large changes, add salt over a couple weeks to be safest.
