Do ip security cameras with NVR use your existing wifi network or do they use a network of their own?
One product discription I read, indicated it was a separate network. I ask because if if switch from analog to ip, my box will be very far away from 2 of the wireless cameras. My router would be in between the NVR and several of the cameras.

I'm sure the system wirelessly communicates with its own components but you're going to need wifi to be able to use your phone with it or anything like that ...
