Teeth are decaying? Can't afford the dentist at all, what can I do? Please help.?

My teeth are awful. Just, awful. And when I talk to people, it's the thing they always stare at. And I can't bring it up because telling someone "Stop looking at my teeth" will just have their entire attention focus on my teeth. When I go out with friends, we always take pictures, and when I look back, everyone is flashing their perfect smiles, but me. They can all let their faces be free and loose and smile, but when I'm out, I'm always conscious on which facial expressions to make to make sure my teeth aren't shown. It's sad. When everyone is laughing and having a good time, I simply smile with my mouth closed. As for dentists, completely out of the question. We have no money for it, and we have no insurance. I tell my mom, but she just says "I don't know what to tell you". I don't want to go to the dentist, just to be denied due to having no money. Do I just let my teeth decay or...? At this point, I'm so ashamed that I don't even want to hang out with anyone, I don't want them to feel disgusted by me. if I could stay hidden forever, then fine. Let my teeth rot away. But since I obviously can't do that. What can I do? Telling my mom won't help. Dentists won't help. I know natural "remedies" won't reverse my tooth decay. It's completely worthless now, my teeth have ruined my life. The only time where I can never worry about them is when I'm inside my room alone. But as soon as I leave my house, they ruin everything.

Okay, are your teeth yellow or discolored, is that what you are saying? Beyond that you are giving us the impression that your teeth are roting like brown edges and the sort. If it is the latter, there is not much you can do. You have to go to the dentist. If they are yellow etc you can buy a toothpast with whitener or one of those Colgate white strips (be careful people have problems with sensitivity, you can counter act with Sensodyne) Also, I really don't know of your financial situation but dentistry schools offer their services really cheap. Many times there are dentist that offer services for very little. Ask a social worker in a community center, those people know everything! Oh, by the way this tooth paste has the strongest kind of floride, it that can actually repair minor tooth damage. "Sensodyne Repair". I can't remember if it is also whitening. Good luck!

Brush regularly two or three times a day to prevent your teeth getting worse. Also cut down on sugar in your diet. Try to look after your teeth until you have money to see the dentist

I really feel bad for you. I am almost 60 and going thru gum disease and having teeth pulled. My insurance doesn t cover much and costing me money out of pocket that I may never be able to pay off. When I was younger I paid for braces since my 1 front tooth overlapped the other. Best thing I ever did for myself, but now since I stopped taking care of my teeth as I got older, I am paying physically & literally for it. Please as some have said, check out clinics in your area. You didn t say your age, so are you old enough to work? Maybe you can get a job with a company that has dental insurance. I will pray that you find the resources and get healthy teeth. For your health not just for looks, although I know how embarrassing bad teeth can be. Good luck & God bless, God will provide

I'm not sure what you want us to say. As far as I know, there's no charitable organization to help you. Just like the rest of us, you'll have to get a job and save. In this day and age, you really have nobody but yourself to blame. I had bad teeth from taking tetracycline as a kid. I'm not rich and dental insurance usually only covers $1000-$2000, so I had to work my *** off and save the $32,000 to get mine fixed. I have a perfect smile now, but it's still a long and uncomfortable process. The balls in your court. Keep feeling sorry for yourself or get motivated to save up and fix it. I don't know why you expect your parents to do anything about it. You're the one who let them get that way.

However you do it you need to get this sorted. Can you get a credit card or a short term loan? It's not ideal but you need to find a way of giving yourself a better quality of life by any means possible. My step sister just bought some veneers, top and bottom set. They cost her £300 but are totally worth it, you just clip them over your natural teeth. They are good quality from a good company I would t recommend anything cheaper as it wouldn't be as good.

Check your County for a dental clinic if your parents don't have dental insurance and can't afford a dentist. They have grants for people who are low income or can't afford to pay the bill. Sometimes it's free, other times you have to pay a small fee. There may also be a dental school around which can help but you have to do your research to find out.

It's very unhealthy to go around with bad teeth -- it affects your gums, you get infections and if the infection starts moving through your body, it can impact your overall health. It's very important you get some help with this.
