why does my tv come on in the middle of the night?

    a couple of my tvs have a sleep mode and that needs to be turned off in the menu.

    Capacitor or it could have a timer in it that is set. Check the menu it's very common in newer tvs

    Bad capacitor on mains board, when on standby,

    same thing happened to mine, popped capacitor.

    Because you leave it on standby and standby is faulty, unplug it and it wont come on
