Different things come into play on this, 1, you need to figure out what fish and the size of the fish that you will be fishing for, 2, you need to figure out what amount of money you are willing to spend. The figuring out what fish and size is to figure out what rod weight you need, then the spending part, that is the buying gear that has a good warranty.

To be honest, Cabela's does have some gear that does not cost a lot and if it has their name, then they back their products.

With all of this being said, find a sporting goods store or a fly shop in your area to figure out what rod weight you should get, then go from there because in fly fishing, there are many different rod weights that are used for different sizes of fish, so if you end up getting the wrong rod weight, two things can happen, you could overpower the fish that you are targeting and that is no fun, or you could be very undergunned, which is the rod will not have enough power to properly fight the fish and it can be fun but you might not land some of these fish.

These links do have combos that are good.
