what would be the best living plant for my fish tank?

i have a cold freshwater tank with a ghost shrimp, a white cloud mountain minnow, some long fin zebra danios and some gold barbs.

i have had plastic plants but i want a living one

    The easiest plant would be marimo moss balls, and they might keep the shrimp alive for a little while.

    moss balls need no care, no specific water conditions, can act as bio media in the tank, and are hard to kill.

    Other plants can be tricky, and it would help to know what kind of lighting you have.

    Anacharis, java moss, hornwort just floting, are some hardy ones.
