As long as I am on a payment plan regarding my medical bill, it wouldn’t affect my credit?

As long as you are making the scheduled payments on time, none of this will hit your credit score. However, hospitals and medical corps are pretty unforgiving if you miss a payment and when you do, they will sell your debt to a Debt Recovery company without telling you. That's when it can really ruin your credit.

Just keep up with your payments. It should actually show up as a debt, but if you are paying ontime and current, it should also show that too.
