No, it isn't worth it. The deal is so weighted in their favor that you work your butt off to make THEM money.

You go to work for a company, any company which require drivers
They talk you into buying one of their vehicles and work for them as an owner driver.
During this stage they make sure you get plenty of work to lure you in.
You're hooked and sign a contract to take over a vehicle. You are also responsible for maintenance, fuel and insurance both for the vehicle and yourself. Plus of course the monthly payments.
In the first month or so they keep you well supplied with work.
After month three the work slowly fades away as they give it to the latest mug they are trying to draw into their net.
By month four you are working for nothing, Month five you are losing money
By month nine you are so far in debt to them despite working 90 hours a week they take their vehicle back and cancel your contract.
You're out on your ear with nothing, they lease 'your' vehicle to the next mug in line.

I believe they quit doing them because so many people couldn't even make the payments.

Stay away from "those" kind of deals, its a no win situation.
Its like a lease purchase plan and those dont ever work out.
As far as working for them, from what ive heard, its a good way to make extra money, they do have a lot of guidelines tho.
