Do you philosophize/debate when your mind wanders?

Every time my mind wanders off, I end up doing one of those two things. I think about aliens, human nature, god, etc... or in the case of debate, I'll host an argument in my head over typical debate topics. I can get really carried away when I do this, and I sometimes zone out for almost an hour just thinking and letting my train of thought run wild.

Is this... normal?

    No. I'm usually busy figuring out how to play some song or part of it.

    Why certainly it is. Many zone out & daydream, philosophize, etc. It's healthy.

    Yeah I do that too. Like when I'm tired I write deep emo poetry and listen to music when I should be doing homework.

    I do this all of the time. I'm constantly speculating on both sides of an argument, considering the pros/cons of each. I'm not a psychologist, but I'd say you're good.
