On the Glitch in the Matrix subreddit, I noticed there are a lot of posts which generally go like this:

Person A sees Person B do something, and then right after Person B is out of sight they see them in a different spot/doing a different activity.

Is there a word or phrase for this?

I'm reposting this from Reddit. This isn't my comment, but I'd really like to know anyway.

"This reminds me of a scene from a movie that I can't seem to remember the name of. It was one of those specials on VH1 about the scariest movies of all time. The movie was in black and white and there was a woman sitting on a couch with one door on each side. These white, naked figures walked through one door over to the other as the woman was sitting there. Anyone know this movie by chance?"

If so, which of the following do you believe in?

Aliens

Cryptids

Ghosts, poltergeists, etc.

Things being cursed

Parallel universes

Magic and miracles

Auras, spirit healing, etc.

Psychics

ESP and telepathy

If clones existed, could they be considered their own person, with their own rights? Or are they merely an extra, conjured into existence for whatever use its creator chooses? What if someone wanted to use clones for blood donation/organ transplants? What about sex? Or what if they sent them to do their job for them? Can they be used for anything? Why or why not?

Which stance do you take?

Do you believe humans as well as our planet in general make up just as important a piece as any other part of the universe? Are you of the mindset that the universe is in all of us, we are one with everything, etc.? Are we indeed part of something far greater than ourselves?

Or, on the other hand, do you think we don't matter? That we're nothing more than an insignificant cosmic speck in comparison to the vast universe surrounding us? That, should humans, or Earth, or even our entire solar system be wiped off the face of the universe, everything would carry on as if nothing had changed and we might as well have never even existed in the first place?

Hear me out. I've seen quite a few videos on people who believe they were "meant to be black" or "deep inside, they're a small child". Now obviously these could be faked for attention, and if that's the case, they certainly succeeded. But for the moment, let's assume all these claims are real issues that they're dealing with.

People who come out as transgender are usually seen as courageous, groundbreaking, etc. They have certain rights, they're a significant part of the LGBT community, and above all, if someone wants to dress as, act like, and even transition to the opposite gender, in this day and age not many people are going to stop them.

On the other hand, these transage, transracial, trans-etc people tend to be seen as weird, and many people commenting on the videos in which they were featured said something along the lines of "they need mental help". No one appeared to be encouraging their behavior. No one even said things like, "It's their body and their life, who cares what they do with it?" or "If they want to act like this, go ahead, fine by me." Pretty much everyone had negative reactions.

So the question is, assuming these are real mental issues these people are suffering from, why are so many transgender people not being looked at the same way? Why do we look upon some people with disdain while we applaud others with very similar claims for being so brave?

Think about it. All your organs, replaced one by one. Artificial kidney, heart, liver, etc. Your limbs, even your entire torso, head and neck? Prosthetics. Your brain? Uploaded into one extraordinarily powerful chip. At what point are you considered "robot" rather than "human"?

You ve probably heard of the phrase "cogito ergo sum", which means, "I think, therefore, I am."

To be human is to be sentient. To be sentient is to have consciousness, thoughts, memories, to wonder, etc.

But let s say someone is born with no senses. No touch, taste, hearing, sight, smell, or taste. Nothing at all. They have no way of knowing the world around them even exists.

Are they aware of their own existence? Do thoughts and memories form without any experiences to base them on? Can they even be considered "alive"?

I personally say things like "oh, gods..." or "For Thor's sake!" not because I believe in that religion, but just for my own amusement.

Painting, sculpting, music, literature, or acting?

I can't do it without squinting or looking away after a few seconds, and sometimes I can't look directly at it at all. I always thought this was normal, but lately I asked some people and I don't think it is.

Every time my mind wanders off, I end up doing one of those two things. I think about aliens, human nature, god, etc... or in the case of debate, I'll host an argument in my head over typical debate topics. I can get really carried away when I do this, and I sometimes zone out for almost an hour just thinking and letting my train of thought run wild.

Is this... normal?
