Why am I always hungry (teenage girl)?
Im 15, 5'4 and I weigh 97 pounds. I am pretty sure I'm underweight btw. I used to way 113 but then started to eat healthier and my weight dropped. Anyways, I eat breakfast, lunch, a snack or two when I get home, dinner, and then usually more food after dinner. Whenever I eat though, I am always STILL HUNGRY and I just don't know why. Could someone help me out? I eat high protien foods like yogurt and eggs, lots of nuts, chickpeas, fruit (I love fruit), carrots, lettuce, chicken occasionally for dinner, ect. ect.

you have a high metabolism, believe me i'm 15 turning 16 tomorrow and i am hungry pretty much all the time.. i'm pretty sure teenagers just get hungry more than adults because they are growing and have more of an appetite. But if you are concerned tell your parents, doctor, etc. Hope i helped! :) and also its good your eating high protein foods keep it up!

you have to ensure when you sit down to a meal the only things are not low fiber foods, humans need 80g a day ideally.
high water high fiber foods keep us feeling more full for longer since any sugars are released slowly, and don't cause a crash.
they also tell your brain you are full, that is why a 750ml smoothie will keep you feeling full longer than 2 eggs and bacon and a slice of white bread.
Stick to whole plant foods like: yams, plantain, brown rice, bean/peas/legumes, lentils, quinoa, oats, barley, wholewheat pasta/cous cous, sweet potatoes, parsnips, cassava, leafy greens, veggies and fruits!
Get your healthy oils from Avocados, nuts like walnuts, and seeds like flax, chia and pumkin.
These foods are great for you and in the right combos form almost any meal you can think off.
they provide: phytonutrients, antioxidants, fiber, vitamins and minerals. this also helps control blood glucose levels, and cholesterol levels, reduce inflammation, improve blood flow, feed good gut bacteria and prevent against cancer.

You have stress in life. Try to enjoy something else. Just look at the guy who cannot walk through the door as your model.
