A high clutch pedal on a vehicle with a hydraulic clutch system instead of a cable to release the clutch means the clutch needs replacing. A good clutch releases 2" off the floor.

Yes, it's normal. Not all cars are the same. Either get used to it or get something else that suits you better.

p.s. There's a problem with your grammar. You DROVE it.

High suggest the clutch is very worn and about to fail.

The mechanic who checked your car should have looked at this.

Get someone who is familiar with cars to check it out - and don't ever buy anything again unless you are totally happy with it.

Could be it is just different to what you are used to and not faulty at all - could be that the clutch is on the way out.

Check other cars and see if the clutch height is the same. Ask the dealer if the height is adjustable and get it adjusted to your liking.

Different cars do have a different feel about their clutch pedals, and it can be difficult to compere them, especially if you haven't had much experience. I've heard it said that the 207 pedal can be high compared with others, but being excessively so usually indicates clutch wear.
