Nearly all cars decline in value in 12 months. None decline in 2 weeks.

If you insist on trying to save an extra $100-200, try buying the last day of the year. Even cars that might decline $2000 in a year do it $125-200 a month, not $2000 at once.

Buying the last day of the month or year MIGHT save you a little but only if you are a great negotiator.

You aren't going to save $1000 or even $500.

All car prices drop when the newer models come out, whenever that happens, next year or this year. The price drops because you are buying a year-old car.

You should wait until you can actually afford it; if the calendar is a factor, it's pretty clear you can't.
