how much does a 100 percent cotton item of clothing shrink after warm wash and drying?

    Depending on the weave it could be up to 20%! When purchasing 100% cotton garments, it is often suggested to buy the next size up from what you would normally wear. So that after it shrinks, it will fit!

    might not shrink at all because most pure cotton clothing are made from preshrunk materials.
