May high income, high deductible tax payers use the standard deduction to pay higher income taxes to be good little Democrats?

Affluent leftists will conveniently avoid paying any more taxes than legally required by simply deferring to their tax preparers' (accountants) judgment:

Leftist: "Oh I let my tax person do all my taxes!"

Inquirer: "But since you were against the tax cuts, won't you send in the difference as if your taxes were not cut?"
