Can you travel to France straight from Japan?

Or do you have to stop somewhere and then board another flight?

Update:

For question purposes, lets just say...Tokyo to Paris, or something.

Yes, there are non-stop flights between Japan (Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita, and Osaka) and France (Paris CDG only):

    - from Haneda: Air France, JAL, and ANA

    - from Narita: Air France (and seasonally JAL)

    - from Osaka: Air France (on some days of the week only).

Most of those flights are operated with Boeing 777 (Boeing 787 at ANA).

By the way, Air France has codeshare agreements with JAL and ANA.

One-stop flights may be much cheaper, especially if you are looking for one-way air ticket (the latter is terribly expensive at Air France and many other airlines). However, such connecting flights may last a very long time depending on the selected route and airline. The shortest one-stop flights may be with Air China (stopover in Beijing) or Asiana (stopover in Seoul).

Apparently you have to swim, walk, or drive there.
