How to open a locked file cabinet without a key?

I recently bought a bunch of used file cabinets for the office, and foolishly didn't check to make sure they were all unlocked. None of them came with keys, so I'm stuck with a locked cabinet. Any suggestions on how to get it open? I really need the filing space to any help is appreciated. I don't care if it destroys the lock

Those locks and keys for them are pretty common. There is a number on the lock. Write it down and go to a local locksmith or even a furniture supply company. They will have the key for it. No sense making a mess of the cabinet when obtaining a key is a snap.

Smack the lock with a hammer until it falls out or hire a locksmith.

Call a lock smith to either unlock them and/or rekey them or punch out the lock (you need special tools for this)
