Democrats fail to run on re-inflicting the Obamacare Mandate, why?

Because it won't work. Buy insurance or pay a penalty? Who comes up with this stuff? Not having insurance is now a crime thanks to the dems.

because Democrats would rather have Single Payer medical care insurance, and that requires no mandate. Obamacare was enacted only as compromise with the conservatives which are the ones that invented the mandate originally.

I hope not. Obamacare was just Romneycare ... a failed Republican idea for Mass. What Democrats and MANY others in the US want is a single payer system like in the CIVILIZED countries in Europe. Basically, Medicare for all. A really good government run system for all citizens. Old people don't complain about Medicare. It is a good system working for all. Who is against this?? Hospitals who overcharge so their CEO (hospital administrators) can get 10 million bonuses for the large profits that these "nonprofit" organizations make, and insurance companies, again for the large profits.

Honestly, I don't really care anymore. A lot of people need healthcare that they can't afford and I guess this country has spoken on where it stands on that issue.

I just hope that they can remove the claim from our history books that we're a nation of benevolence and moral values. We don't need to be teaching our kids that we care about the less fortunate when that's absolutely not true.

Since the mandate was only removed last week, how do you know if democrats will or will not run on that issue? In what race do you think they have been running in the last 7 days?

After the people's insurance rates skyrocket and their taxes go up because of the removal of the mandate and the unfair tax cuts, it is likely some will run on a fix to the disaster that is the only Trump legislative "accomplishment" in his first. year.

They barely got away with it the first time. I'm sure they'll campaign on the claim that it was a landslide vote. Sure it was.
