Blood stopped flowing when donating ?

So I went to the red cross today, and when I had the needle stuck in my blood started to come out but then my blood just stopped flowing, the nurses said I was probably dehydrated, but I went to the bathroom afterwards and looked at my pee and saw that I was hydrated, plus I did the skin test and my skin bounced back. Why didn t my blood flow today when I clearly was hydrated ?

    Perhaps the needle gauge they used was too small and it clogged or perhaps the angle of the needle got bent so blood could not pass as easily.

    Some nurses do a better job with the catheter than others.

    you may have been too dehydrated to give blood
