Which Religious books have foretold of the Divine intervention to prevent the destruction of Mankind ?>?

A person can know many truths by reciting the rosary carefully every day.

Three come to mind - the Bible, the Qur'an and the Book of Mormon. However, I dismiss the last because I believe it to be the words of a man who was seriously deceived and whose writings did not come from God.

In the Bible book of Genesis (written about 3,500 years ago) we first learn of God's plan to redeem humanity (Genesis 3:14-15) and the rest of the Old Testament points to the coming Messiah. The four Gospels about Jesus Christ describe how God's original plan was put into action by the death and resurrection of Jesus, and the remaining books of the New Testament point forward to the second coming of Jesus who will rule for a thousand years over humanity, and then will destroy all who oppose God.

The Qur'an also mentions the return of Jesus (Isa) and how humanity will be saved, but I have a problem with the Muslim view of this because it contradicts the Bible view. The Qur'an says Jesus will return as a follower of Muhammad and will destroy all who fail to submit to Allah. I know there are similarities between the Bible and the Qur'an on the subject of "end times" but the Islamic view is seriously at odds with the Bible.

I haven't read any other religious books so that's as much as I can comment on.
