Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is when you have died without putting your faith into Jesus Christ for everlasting life.

    Nope.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is mentioned when the Pharisees, who had just witnessed Jesus perform an exorcism accused Him of being possessed Himself. Matt 12 24 uses the word Beelzebul (lord of the mount/heaven) as the demon the Pharisees claimed was possessing Jesus. However, the translation is incorrect and should read Belial (worthless).

Moving on. There will be some Christians who will say that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is to deny His works and good deeds. Well, that's right and wrong at the same time.

You, as a Christian, cannot commit blasphemy of the Holy Spirit until Jesus returns. Here is what I mean:

Jesus miraculously returns, performs miracles and casts out demons. You disbelieve that it is Jesus, you disbelieve He is the messiah, and make a claim, like the Pharisees did, that Jesus Himself is not blessed by the Holy Spirit working through Him, but is actually possessed by an unclean spirit.

In conclusion, then, if your pastor, or loudmouthed Christian friend accuses of you blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, you can reply by asking: "Oh, Jesus has returned, then, has He?"

Having an "accurate knowledge of the truth" is KEY to salvation - 1 Timothy 2:4 – whose (God’s) will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. - - - - Jesus' words in prayer to God tell us exactly where to get an accurate knowledge of truth - John 17:17 - Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth. - - - - Since God's word is truth, to make sure we indeed get an accurate knowledge of truth, this Scriptural example MUST be followed - Acts 17:11 . . . carefully examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. - - - - Also, since God's word is truth, it is NOT contradictory. - - - - So let's examine the Scriptures and get an accurate knowledge of truth from what Jesus said about his relationship with God. He described it as the relationship that a son has with his father - John 10:36 - do you say to me whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’? - - - - He further showed that God, the Father is greater than he is - John 14:28 - You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am. - - - - Along with these things, the Scriptures later indicate that (after Jesus was resurrected) he never considered himself equal, or co-equal to God - Philippians 2:6 - who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. - - - - Now, if these Scriptures provide an accurate knowledge of truth, there is no trinity. So, the holy spirit (sometimes translated - ghost) is neither a part of a trinity. Rather, as the Scriptures show throughout the Bible, the holy spirit is the power that God uses to accomplish his will. In other words, it is his active force. - - - - Note what Jesus said his followers would be doing in the last days - Matthew 24:14 - And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. - - - - By means of this good news, people are learning what blasphemy really is, and taking in an accurate knowledge about God, Christ, and the holy spirit.

The Holy Ghost IS the Spirit of God. Denying the Holy Spirit IS denying God.

this is the complete opposite of what you said.

its knowing GOD is real (that HE is KING of everything).

yet you side with satan and call the works of GOD (EVIL).

    with FULL KNOWLEDGE. (no doubting).

this is not a faith issue.

its knowing you are working against GOD and enjoying it.

most people cannot commit this sin.

    this goes even deeper.

Source(s): you are basically throwing your salvation away. like satan and the fallen ones.

In a culture that was steeped in law and religion, Jesus and the New Testament writers were trying to get an idea across using terminology the people understood.

Simply put, it is refusing forgiveness. God is love, but he will not, can not, force it on anyone.
