2-3 hours before bed start using lights that are lower temperature / less bright. Including on electronic devices.

Honestly same here man at this point I'm just answering questions on yahoo at these late hours I've tried a lot and drugs are just a wild solution so I'm not taking that route. Just like chill on the web

Your sleeping pattern must be messed up, try staying up all day with no naps and that should allow you to fall asleep at an earlier time the next night.

Don't think about it. The more you try to sleep the more you are awake and can't get to sleep. Just get your mind of sleeping and lie down, relax and think about something you like or something you'd love to do. Make up a cool story. Lie there with your eyes closed and just imagine something. But make it not something to worry about and don't make it stressful. Something peaceful and calm and soon enough you will fall to sleep
