Matthew 5:29 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. Christian, why the bible is so evil?

To avoid such destruction, Jesus’ followers were to get rid of anything causing spiritual stumbling, the ‘cutting off of a hand or foot’ and the ‘tearing out of an eye’ figuratively representing their deadening of these body members with reference to sin! Mt 18:9; Mr 9:43-47; Col 3:5; compare Mt 5:27-30.
In Mark as well as other verses it speaks of Gehenna, Gehenna was like our day garbag dump. In Bible times the wicked, those that did not deserve to be burried were cast into Gehenna where slupher was use to make the fire hot enough to destroy everything but also notice the magots were not consumed by this fire! They were on the out skirts where they consumed everything the fire didn't. Using Gehenna Jesus also apparently alluded to Isaiah 66:24 in describing Gehenna as a place “where their maggot does not die and the fire is not put out.” (Mr 9:47, 48) That the symbolic picture here is not one of torture but, rather, of complete destruction is evident from the fact that the Isaiah text dealt, not with persons who were alive, but with “the carcasses of the men that were transgressing” against God.
The Bible speaks against anyone mutilating their bodies as a sign of grief which was a custom at that time. Being cast into Gehenna symbolized total and complete distruction and the tearing out of ones eyes would probally mean not to look at, ones foot would probally mean walking towards wickedness!

Hell is pain and agony forever. Which is worse, that or to lose one eye? Jesus often encourages us away from sin by remindinmg us of the benefits of holiness.

Because....the Bible is not evil.
If we look at the context, we can see that Jesus is not recommending self-mutilation, but self-control. To think otherwise is the same as saying that people are slaves to the will of their hands, feet, or eyes. With the help of God's powerful holy spirit, those who seek God have been able to overcome improper desires of the flesh.
Even harsh treatment of the body, which is a feature of some forms of worship, does not bring one closer to God.
Colossians 2:20-23
By practicing self-control and good moral conduct, not even coming close to seeing, touching, or walking toward a compromising situation, we truly show that our desire to please God is greater than our own desire to pursue physical gratification or shows of outward piety. God's spirit gives us the strength to resist evil.

Actually the Romans wrote the NT and they were huge jokers, the more about sex the better. Rome still has many statures with men and women naked. But the laugh today is how any sensible person would even think to take out an eye because he/she looked at another person with desire. It is yet another horrible joke the Romans put in their NT story, none of which is true. The NT is a comic parody, designed originally for the pleasure of the roayals to read and LTAO while relaxing in the evening. To believe that story is a sickness.

SO you should sin? Is that what the attention-craving spineless and trivial child is asking?

Because Men altered it. And they had no idea what they were doing.

You must not take a small excerpt and believe that’s the meaning of it. Reading the entire passage helps to explain what the writer was trying to covey. Jesus was stating that it was better to get rid of the vices that were causing you to sin than to lose your life.

Because you only have carnal understanding. This is just an example of spiritual things. It’s like if your foot or leg becomes deseased and a doctor amputates it so you can live and not die. Or women’s breast become cancerous and they have a mastectomy to save their lives. That is what this is talking about.

If a doctor says "if you have a cancerous tumor, tear it out and throw it away". Do you consider that evil? No it is good medical advice. Jesus' gives good soul advice. Sin is a tumor that kills souls.
