Are there ever any unbeaten teams?

Update:

In the European Champions League, the winner of the league will be the team that gets the most number of points and is placed at the top of the table.

However, had there ever been a team that is not only at the top, but had never lost a single game for a particular year.

Update 2:

For example, about 10 years ago, Arsenal was at the top of the English Premier League and it did not lose a single game fot that year.

So, did any team ever get to the top of the European Champions League without losing a single match?

    Barcelona is the only unbeaten top flight league team in Europe.
