This question may sound a little confusing about calories?

So ny body mass is 32.0. Im 4'9 ft tall or as i should say short lol. Anyways im know as obese so i looked up how to work with calories to lose weight. I understand that there are 3500 calories in a lb and im gonna try to do some cardio workouts tomorrow and the insanity workout is known to burn 600 calories in a 45 min workout so heres my question if say i fo lose 600 calories in the morning with the cardio workout how many calories should i eat for the day ? I mean wouldnt i be gaining all those calories back even with a healthy diet of 1000 calories a day? Am i really losing any calories at all when i eat?

You should go to a calorie calculator like I have below and calculate it yourself.

but let's talk about losing weight a bit.

Exercise is important. but it's not going to cause significant weight loss. The thing that causes weight loss is your diet.

Let's take a little example. say your favorite snack is a Tall Latte. That's 150 calories. and not that much nutrition. Also, lets say that every mile you walk is equal to about 100 calories (its actually less but let's stick with round numbers). So in order to burn off that latte, you would have to walk 1.5 miles. What is easier, skipping the latte or walking a mile?

say your favorite meal is spaghetti. but instead of using regular spaghetti you use Zoodles (zucchini noodles). You save 150 calories. or you could walk another 1.5 miles

Next time you make a sandwich, you make it without cheese of mayo. There are another 150 calories you skipped.

So, whats easier? skipping some treats and replacing some foods, every day, or walking 5 miles?

My advice, sign up at SparkPeople, its free. and spend 5 - 10 minutes each night learning about nutrition and cutting calories. Spark will even help you keep track of your calories (in and out).

Your body burns a certain amount of calories per day to maintain itself no matter what you do or don't do. Look up BMR calculators. If you're eating 1000 calories per day and your body uses 1000 just for maintenance, you're staying even. Whatever excess calories you use, results in weight loss.

Just living and breathing burns a certain amount of calories. Generally about 1000 - 1500 a day.
