Should I share poetry that I've written with others?

Recently I've written poetry regarding depression that Ive been suffering from for some time. I have been wondering if I should share these people that I know because it may help them understand depression and me better. However, I am scared of receiving ridicule for sharing these poems with others. Any recommendations? I've attached one below.

    If words as weapons

    won't Pierce your heart.

    If insults and cruelty

    won't make you depart.

    If anybody cares,

    you might feel better,

    but sharing poetry,

    isn't like writing a letter!

Be very careful with whom you share it.

No,only share them with family or close friends.

On here there's those who sit around all day waiting to insult and demean anyone.

If you didn't want to share your poems you wouldn't be asking, so go for it. That, or be scared.

Share them with people who are not likely to ridicule you for being depressed.

Poetry can be therapeutic and it can inspire others too.
