How hard is it to integrate into a new country if you don't speak the language? Thinkin of moving to Bangkok and I know Thai's hard to learn?

I knew a German guy that moved over here to the U.S. and barely knew English. As long as you know the basic words, you will pick up multiple words over time and get used to it.

Communication is a major factor, and verbal communication is the dominant type of communication, so you would have to work a lot harder to "integrate" (adjust to the culture so you are similar in behavior, in following unstated social behavior rules). A lot of behavior is nonverbal though, so you could actually adjust to become almost unnoticeable in larger (group) settings. You would pretty quickly learn the rules about walking in a crowd, say, or what is an acceptable personal body space to assert, and those sorts of things that most of us never really think about in the first place. But to go beyond that would require language, and that is possibly a major block.

It would be quite hard.

However, before you think of moving to any other country, you need to find out what the requirements are for getting permanent residence and the ability to work.

No country allows anyone to just move there and live and work.
