Hello, problems with pronunciation of a name?
I know it's hard without knowing the origin but is it possible that the name Yliane is pronounced eye-lee-AN if it's Anglicised? Do you see it? How about Ysliane (with a silent s as in the word island)?

If you are that uncertain about the pronunciation, then your daughter would have problems her entire life with a name that no one would know how to pronounce.

Yliane wouldn't be "eye-lee-AN" in Anglicized phonetics. It would be ylee-ann.

It doesn't seem like that would be the pronunciation. ILL ee ann seems more likely which might b anglicized to Leanne.

It looks like "yi-lee-an" to me. I've never heard of that name though. Adding the 's' actually seems to make more sense to say it "eye-lee-an." Because 'y's are commonly used to replace 'i's so I think twice about the pronunciation.
