2006 Ford Focus fuel pump driver location?

My focus will not start, has no fuel pressure and fuel pump not working at all. Have replaced the fuel pump with a tested one and still not working. Have also tested the old one and it is also ok. The fuel gauge works ok, but fuel pump is not kicking in at all. All fuses are ok and have changed our relay also. Does anyone know where the fuel pump driver module is located please? Thanks :)

Get a test light or multimeter. Check for power at the fuse for the fuel pump. Check for power (test light will be flickering) and ground at the fuel pump connector when cranking. If there is no power, check for the power feed, control power and control ground at the the fuel pump relay. If there is no ground at the connector, check for a bad ground wire or a bad grounding point. Your car might also have a fuel inertial switch but that part rarely goes bad.

If you want to replace the fuel pump driver module, it is underneath the rear seat on the right hand side.

Hi so you with little knowledge of cars. your car like all modern cars has two fuel pumps. the lifter pump which you have replaced. and the high pressure pump which squirts fuel into the engine as some 6-8000 pounds per square inch,

this pump should never be messes with as finger have been lost and arms have had to be amputted as they are dangerous. the cost is also a lot 1200 pounds minimum.

The Fuel Cut-off Switch may have tripped. It's purpose is to shut off the fuel pump in the event of an accident (impact). In my 2003 Focus it is at the side of the footwell.

What's the fuel pressure? Unless you have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up and know the exact fuel pressure reading you have no clue if the pump is good or bad.

WTF is a fuel pump "drive module"?

Jump the fuel pump relay. The PCM shuts off the relay in 10 seconds if the motor isn't running so you can't test the pump with just the key on unless you bypass the relay.

The fuel pump is driven by the ECU (Eletronic control Unit). It turnes the phe pump on when you start the engine and keeps it running whenever the engine runs.

So, it may be caused bay malfunctioning of the ECU or just simply losen cable.

Yoy can try to put an electric voltage from a source that "on" when you turn the key "on" instead of driven be the ECU.
