Hi, I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD with 160,000kms on it and the transmission has just lost all drive. Can’t go forward or reverse. We were coming up to an intersection and went to take off again and it was like it was in neutral and the engine light has come on. The dealer ship has it now and are saying it may just need a transmission service as the fluid is burnt and has glittery shavings in it. Is this possible to just require a transmission service to fix it or are they just looking for money? Apparently when they got it off the truck it engaged gear but slips. Thanks

My focus will not start, has no fuel pressure and fuel pump not working at all. Have replaced the fuel pump with a tested one and still not working. Have also tested the old one and it is also ok. The fuel gauge works ok, but fuel pump is not kicking in at all. All fuses are ok and have changed our relay also. Does anyone know where the fuel pump driver module is located please? Thanks :)

hi all, I have a 98 Ssangyong Musso 3.2 mercedes engine and I am having issues with alternators. I bought the car needing a new alternator (has been sitting in paddock for nearly 2 years) so I got a second hand one from wreckers. it worked fine for about 5 mins then started smoking and battery light come on then died. I replaced it again with another second hand one and it worked great for about 10 mins and I turned car off and checked under bonnet to ensure no crazy smoke etc like last time. and there wasnt. As I was about to put bonnet back down I heard a shorting out sizzling noise and I looked down to see alternator was smoking and then caught fire inside. obviously it is now stuffed too :) could the battery I have in the car be bad its 1 1/2 years old. it starts car fine but thought maybe for some reason its overworking the alternator? any ideas are appreciated. thanks :)

I have a 98 landrover freelander 2.0 Di and bought it with a siezed vcu and blown IRD. I replaced the IRD months ago and have been driving it as front wheel drive, until recently I bought a new VCU and fitted the propshaft back in the car. not sure if this is a problem or not but the car feels tight when turning full lock both forwards and back and you can hear the wheels working against each other while turning as well on gravel, and it feels a little slower in pickup. is this normal? it is brand new bearmach part for 4 cylinder freelanders. thanks :)

the car only does it when completely warmed up. it smokes white smoke when idling, and when I rev it, it then has lightish blue colour. when cold- runs fine with no smoke. engine was just rebuilt and I think fuel pump is dying. its a 93 2.6 rodeo by the way....

I have a 93 Holden Rodeo 2.6 Isuzu motor that I have just fitted (reconditioned) and it is backfiring through intake. it also sounds different when turning over compared to old motor. it seems to sound fine when at a higher amount of revs but it wont idle, and it runs rough at low revs. I also noticed some greyish smoke from exhaust.I have checked timing belt and it is fine (marks line up) and the sparkplug leads are in order compared to old motor. what is wrong? and how can it be fixed? thanks

I started it and it ran for maybe a minute, and then it made a pop noise and oil was every where. I got out and looked under the bonnet and alot of oil had spurted everywhere all over the right wheel and ground. it all came from the oil filter compartment thing, and when I had a look at it just after the incident, oil was still slowly pouring out of some valve or allens key thing. is it a valve or something?

I have a 98 landrover freelander 2.0 diesel and the tail gate will not open. when I pull the handle, the window lowers as it should and a clicking noise happens but the door will not release? any ideas/past experiences with these things?

I just changed ird unit/transfer case on my 1998 2.0 TD land rover freelander and was told that bleeding the cooling system afterwards is a 'must'. I have no idea how and what is the right way to do it, any help would be great- thanks

I am in the market for an ird unit for my 1998 landrover freelander 2.0 turbo diesel and wanting to know if the 4 cyl petrol ird unit is the same as the 4 cyl diesel? also how do you bleed the cooling system on the ird unit when i go to put the new one in because i was told it was a must?

i have a 1998 Land Rover Freelander 2.0 turbo diesel. recently a problem has popped up over night where it can be hard to start and it runs rough. also it smokes a fair bit of blue smoke and laggs alot when reved. anyone know what it may be/what needs replacing?

I have a 1998 Landrover Freelander 2.0 TD. it starts and runs fine but wont drive in any gear 1st-5th and reverse...nothing. it lets me select the gears and the speedo works as if im movin' but im not. it also makes a grinding noise when clutch is not in and the sound is coming from the ird where the output shaft comes out for the rear wheels. is it possible to make it 2wd and still drive it or do I have to spend big bucks on it straight up... thanks- Trav

My Nissan Pulsar is having problems when cold. If it doesn't get warmed up to normal temperature before being driven or even revved, it surges really bad as if it is being floored and then turned off constantly and the tacho goes crazy; but when idling, doesn't skip beat. When it does this- I can smell something like an electrical smokey smell. also when it is warmed up, it laggs when revved. does anyone know what this may be or how much it may cost to be fixed? thanks

I have I think it is a 200gy motorbike. I was riding around when the chain come off and wrapped around the cog and broke the casing holding the magneto. does anyone know where I can get this part, I cant find it and the guy in motorbike store in town reckon's he cant help me. thanks.

My mum bought me and herself an iphone 4s, one black and one white- both 32gb on gumtree. we bought them off of a guy called matthew shaun for $600 who scammed us- we transferred the money to his bank account and then we never saw the phones... we have tried ringing him but he must have his phone off or changed his sim. How do my mum and I catch this guy and get our money back because that was all my savings :( he left us his name, bank details (bsb and account no#) and his phone number (which does not ring). we also have some text messages if that helps.

I am doing an English assignment on a news paper article and I am doing the article on the terrorist attack on the 24th I think of May in the UK of the Britsh soldier that got run over and then hacked to death by two men. I am part way through my assignment and it is Due Tuesday. I need to know the what rank out of terrorist attacks it is, and other statistics etc. Can someone help me out cause I cant find anything? also if u can, can u please insert some personal thoughts feeling etc towards the event. thanks, Trav :)
