are sharks tetrapods?

    Hello Springles,

    If sharks had four feet in order to walk then they would be tetrapod's but as they have not they are not tetrapod's.

    Tetrapods are amphibians, reptiles, mammals and birds, and this group does not include fish. Sharks are fish. Some tetrapods, such as snakes, have no legs. Other tetrapods, such as whales manatees, some salamanders and amphisbaenians, only have 2 legs, but they are still tetrapods because their ancestor had 4 legs. Tetra = four, and pod

    = leg.

    That would be rather difficult, since tetrapods have four limbs.
