Which Eagles team was better overall and why? Was it the 2017 Eagles w/healthy Wentz or the 2004 Eagles who Lost in the super bowl?

I will go with the 2017 Eagles. However, I believe that the 2001 Eagles were a better balanced team than both. I have always said that if the Eagles had just beat the Rams in the NFC Championship Game, they would have defeated the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI.

This team is an actual team. 2004 had to many individual players, like TO and McNabb, who were self promoting all of the time.

Debatable, the game has also changed which makes direct comparisons even more difficult. The teams, the league now, I do not believe is as good as back then. The pats team they are playing is not nearly as good as the 04 team. So even if they win, you can't really compare. That 04 eagles team, went to 4 straight conference championship games, so I would actually give them the edge.

2017 - close with both being Super Bowl teams, but Wentz and depth make the difference. The 2004 Eagles wouldn't have made it through the playoffs with a backup QB.
