Girls, why should guys care that so many girls buy themselves flowers on valentines day?

I hear this every year "Did you know, 1 in 2 women buy themselves flowers on valentines day?"

I mean why should we care??? There are single miserable and depressed men out there too but why should we only care about a woman's feelings? Why should guys feel ashamed that girls buy themselves flowers? They're just sad that they don't have a man to buy them all their little wants and desires, oh boo hoo
