It's been my understanding that Tom Araya, the front man for the Slayer Band is a born again Christian. Some organized religion isn't good if it doesn't portray Jesus Christ in the way he should be. But evidently it hasn't had a bearing on what he believes. Here's a list of what many sources say are the top ten metal band guys who are now Christians. There are Youtube videos featuring Tom Araya, and maybe he will shed more light on it. But this list and who they are may at least get you started.
