Looking online, I found that the inside diameter of a 1'' schedule 40 pipe is 1.049''
Radius = 0.5245''
Area of pipe opening = 0.8642529244 sq inches = 5.575814167 sq cm
Distance water travels through pipe in 1 minute
= Volume of water flowing out in 1 minute / Area of pipe opening
= 30 L / (5.575814167 sq cm)
= 53.8 m
So water flows at a rate of 53.8 meters/min
