Judaism is considered to be a closed religion, in which it is pretty hard to get it, not like Christianity or Islam that within a process of few minutes you can convert. This is due to cultural-historical aspects of Jewish life, in the sense that there is a uniqueness to Jewish life and culture and it is not suitable for everyone.

Moreover, Jews are not just a part of the Jewish religion but a part of the Jewish ethnicity. Jews are an ethnoreligious group, and therefore it is difficult to convert yourself to another ethnicity - it is possible, but it is a long process and not an easy one.
