Is this legal?

So some guy sold me an iPad that he said worked. Well when I got it his Apple ID was still on it. I tried to do the Apple ID recovery and it’s still not working. It asked for his credit card info to verify his identity and it’s not working. Now he has blocked me. Since he gave me his credit card info to fix the iPad that he told me is working can I just PayPal myself back the money? cause I’m pretty damn pissed.

You got scammed but the problem is you're dumber than dirt if you think he's going to actually give you HIS REAL CARD NUMBER! Fool I would NOT be shocked if the ipad and the card are both stolen! I am also betting you were dumb enough to buy it on the lovely site craigslist! That is were criminals usually go to unload their stolen goods! God! Surely your @$$ is not THAT frigging NAIVE as to think this guy is going to agree to you using his card to fix a pad. Call the cops and ASK about the card and the pad! DUH!!!!!. I wouldn't have even freaking contacted the bast@ard to begin with and next time you want a cheap ipad or something GO to a computer repair place and make sure the stupid thing works first!

Source(s): it is known as common sense, try it some time

I wouldn't recommend it because that is illegal to use his credit card but I also would understand why you would want to as he stole money from you essentially and you have the right to get it back.
