DO YOU KNOW THAT THE MEMORIAL OF CHRIST'S DEATH IS IN THURSDAY, NISAN 14TH 5778 (Hebrew Calendar): MARCH 29, 2018 AFTER THE SUNSET?

http://yomelyah.com/

The setting of the date of the Memorial on the evening of March 31, 2018 is inaccurate, since this date corresponds to 16 Nisan (and not 14 Nisan)

The biblical rule of fixing the date is the same as setting the date of the biblical Passover, namely, the fourteenth day after the new moon, corresponding to the first day of the month: "In the first month, on the 14th day of the month, in the evening, you are to eat unleavened bread until the 21st day of the month, in the evening"(Exodus 12:18). This celebration precedes the full moon that takes place on the fifteenth day of the month. However, the number of days that go from the new moon to the full moon, is not always constant (it can vary by one day). This is probably why Jehovah mentioned the biblical rule of the fourteenth day of Nisan (following the new moon) (rather than the first full moon of the spring equinox, of which there is no trace in the Bible in as a landmark for Passover and then the Memorial).

Update:

ANSWER TO WwwdotBibleSelectordotcom : Yes I do know the difference with them. Jews will celebrate Passover on nisan 15th, that is from the evening of friday after the sunset of march 30th. The Memorial of the death of Jesus Christ is in the beginning of nisan 14th, that is after the sunset of thursday march 29th. The first of your links gave the same explanation:

Update 2:

They wrote: Note that in the Jewish calander, a holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day, so observing Jews will celebrate Passover on the sunset of Friday, the 30th of March.

Update 3:

But, regarding a group of Christians, they will celebrate the memorial of the death of Jesus Christ in the evening of saturday march 31st, that is two days later, in nisan 16th... There is a serious problem...

Wondering: why is it that your date for Nissan 14

differs from the Jewish determination of that date?

Did you know that Jewish people do not date Passover as you do?

I am aware of when Nisan 14th falls this year, thank you. However, by promoting the Jehovah's Witness annual memorial service you are violating Yahoo community guidelines. You've asked this question (and similar questions) on previous occasions this week in spite of being told that promoting your religion breaks the rules.

All I can say is that turning up to this event merely to be told you are excluded from the new covenant and that you can't take the bread and wine because you don't have a heavenly hope is a very good reason for NOT GOING. Now please stop trying to promote this event.

    Oh really?

There have been several hoax days like in 2012, 2016 and 2017.

This one may be no different.

Do you know that Jesus is entirely fictional?

It is a commandment of Christ: "Keep doing this in remembrance of me" (1 Corinthians 11:24)... I am a Worshipper of Jehovah and a Disciple of the King Jesus Christ...

You will understand that I am not a "disciple of Yahoo"...

Passover in 2018 will start on Saturday, the 31st of March (31/3/2018) and will continue for 7 days until Friday, the 6th of April.

Passover or Pesach commences on the 15th of the Hebrew month of Nisan. Passover lasts for either:

    • Seven days Passover - in Israel and for Reform Jews and other progressive Jews around the world who adhere to the Biblical commandment

    • Eight days Passover - for Orthodox, Hasidic, and most Conservative Jews in the diaspora.

So, For Orthodox, Hasidic, and most Conservative Jews in the diaspora, Passover in 2018 will end on Saturday, the 7th of April.

Note that in the Jewish calander, a holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day, so observing Jews will celebrate Passover on the sunset of Friday, the 30th of March.

You mention 'rules' about setting that date, but fail to stick to Yahoo rules for posting questions on this site.

You are not supposed to promote anything you might have a vested interest in, and it appears you are trying to promote a particular religion's annual event, which they call "The Memorial". All the people who are members of, or even associated with, that religion already know the date and will be planning to attend and to bring along as many 'interested people' as possible. The Yahoo site should not be used as an opportunity to promote this event to millions of others.

In answer to your question, yes I do know that. Oh, and Yahoo asks that we refrain from asking questions that only require a "Yes" or "No" answer. Also, that we who answer do so with more than a "Yes" or a "No" (which is why I've answered more fully than that). This is not a discussion board and no chat is allowed either.
