Scared about my brother after brain surgery. Will he be okay?

My brother has had brain surgery on the 22nd for Cavernous Malformation removal but is still in the hospital. He is suffering from nauesa, lighthead, pain and weakness on the left side of his body. It seems like the operation disabled him more than it in help him. We are scared but the surgeon said it’s normal. It’s been almost a week and he still isn’t better. What do you think will happen? will he be okay? Do people usually take this long?

Think about it the brain has been messed with so why do you not think it would swell and take even several weeks or months to go back to normal. LISTEN to the surgeon and doctors.

I would put a lot more faith in what the doctor has to say than I would in anything that random strangers on Y!A can tell you.

Brains can heal amazingly, but it does take time. Ask again in about 6 months
