Who remembers definition and reason of Presidential Pardon given during Iran Contra Affair?

Commendable question! This is the type of question that only a history buff or a passionate learner asks. Which is a good thing and it is my favorite type of question to answer, those involving more obscure but none the less important times in history warts and all.

The Presidential Pardon give during the Iran Contra affair mainly involved two individuals, these were Bill (the blond-haired commando with the white tank top and blue bandanna), and the other one was Lance (the shirtless dark-haired commando in the red bandanna). These two gentlemen were dropped into a Central American jungle and had to fend off many enemy's which were mainly of the Sandinista alliance. After they had taken out the intended targets, they decided to go rouge and entered inside a Sandinista base where they destroyed a large sensor with satellite capabilities. This was the first red flag as that sensor was quite expensive and the Sandinista were deeply infuriated. Another important factor was that this operation was not funded by the United States or approved by the President. Instead, funding provided for these operations came from the United Fruit Company which had a large enclave and interests in that region and some Contra rebel benefactors with deep pockets who tapped into their children’s trust funds to see that these Sandinista scum don’t take over.

Bill and Lance were some highly trained military operatives and their tactics were superb. The two men continued afoot supplying weapons, equipment, and loot seized from the Sandinistas to the Contra rebels. The two continued into the Sandinistas’ final line of defense (which included a hovercraft, armored trucks, and giant helmeted soldiers) while proceeding through areas such as a snowfield, an energy plant and a hangar, until reaching the leader's lair. It appears that all communication had been cut with the two commandos after their operations became too known in the media. The Secretary of Defense was infuriated with the Presidents’ mutiny of these two fine Freedom fighters at one point the President was over heard thru a walkie-talkie telling the Secretary of Defense “YOUR MEN ARE EXPENDABLE!”

It was too late and Bill and Lance were captured by the leader Augusto Sandino who subjected them too intense torture including a stretching rack, whipping sessions while subjecting them to watch countless hours of live Contra dance performances by English, Scottish, French and Flemish dancers he had flown over from their respective countries just for the occasion. These were also considered some of the greatest Contra dancers at the time. Upon hearing of how these brave captured men were being subjected to have to watch these Contra dance performances, that tipped the Presidents’ ice berg. There’s no way such inhumane treatment could be tolerated by the leader of the free world. That evening he ordered and airstrike which took out the Sandinistas’ leaders lair and the two men were promptly rescued.

Scrutiny didn’t end right there. The Attorney General infuriated by this potential fiasco decided to press charges on Bill and Lance and make an example out of them by subjecting them to the most expensive kangaroo court in the history of the United States. The President while supportive at first, did a complete 360 on his Attorney General and decided to pardon Bill and Lance because they had had enough of this. They are commemorated heroes now.

I remember the event, but not the reason, sorry. I also know that any potus has that authority and doesn't have to offer any explanation at all for the pardon.
