How can I change my default email from a former, primary service.?

Before I quit AOL as my ISP before it was acquired and became non-disreputable, it was my default email server. But now my primary email is with a different carrier The problem is that when I want to respond, say, to a new report by email, the aol browser and email opens instead of my preferred email service. It's annoying because I have to take numerous extra steps to direct the email using a a email sender address at which I can receive a reply.

... inside your 'default settings' there should be an 'internet settings' to bring you a default homepage. You might see if AOL is there as the default homepage, and if yes, change that default to your newer carrier. Hope that helps (it did take me several steps of stumbling around to find where that 'default' page was -- but it should be there is you are on a MS machine of some sort....)
