What does it mean when a guy says 'it's complicated'?
Overheard a guy explaining his situation with a girl. He was adamant she's not his girlfriend. He said 'it's complicated' and might be a thing later in life (not sure if he meant he and her being a thing, or just him having a girlfriend). I don't get it. If he knows he wants her in the future, why string her along now whilst seeing other people and not just be with her?

"'it's complicated'" can have lots of meaning depending on the situation OR the integrity of a person.
Most PEOPLE with No Communication Skills OR Game, use the phrase to try to
HIDE SOMETHING. Usually it something that gets them in trouble.
If anyone uses that phrase with you 'it's complicated'... SMILE and TELL THEM:
"Try Me. I'm not as dumb as I look."
Usually, the other person CHOKES.

If he says it complicated then it generally means that either the guy or the girl isn't sure of their feelings. I get the impression that you like this guy. Hence, what you need to do give this guy hints that you like him. Maybe if he were to know of your feelings then it may convince him to end things with this other girl and go for you. Doing things like smiling at this guy and complimenting him are great ways of doing this. More importantly, talking to this guy is the best way of building a chemistry with him. If you are unsure of what to say, ask him questions that will get him to reveal his personality. Stuff like that goes along way towards getting closer to a guy.
