I'm looking for a good ISP in Columbia, SC(Richland County).?

So far I've found a few in my area that have caught my eye(Spectrum, AT&T, Frontier) but I would like to know the recommendations of other consumers before I make my choice.

Also I'd like to know if I can get good internet speed with the recommended provider as well. Not sure what the average mbps people have around here but right now I'm working with 1.5 mbps and feel like I'm way overdue for an upgrade.

Thanks.

we used to have verizon, then they changed to frontier, both of which were very bad...........we now have spectrum, w/100 mbps and have had only a few outages that lasted a minute or so + according to spectrum, they have speeds up to 1000 mbps available + there's no contract
