In a SHOCKING admission on Wednesday The New York Times reported the FBI opened an investigation dubbed “Crossfire Hurricane” into Trump’s campaign 100 days before the Presidential election.
The FBI was spying on the opposition party’s campaign 100 days before the election. The spying was based on a phony Russian dossier that was paid for by Democrats and Hillary Clinton and by the hearsay of a low-level Trump campaign official who was coached by FBI operatives on Russian rumors.
Five agents, including Peter Strzok traveled to London in the summer of 2016 to interview with a diplomat after Papadopoulos drunkenly claimed to Australian Ambassador Alexander Downer he knew who had Hillary’s emails.

Obama never spied on Trump. What could he have possibly gained by spying on Trump? Unless you're suggesting that Trump has something to hide?

Somebody hasn't been paying attention. The only news in this headline is the name of the initiative, "Crossfire Hurricane". It is well known that from intercepted communications with Russian agents the FBI had cause to investigate well before the Steele dossier came to light.

They purposely leaked information to Carter Page, then Trump policy advisor, and behold that information shows up in Russian intelligence.
Looks they they needed to do a bit of spying.

Sometimes when the FBI thinks that an illegal activity is in progress, they have inside people to keep them informed. Nothing wrong with it nor is it anything new or illegal.
