Doesn't anyone here know this? Do open ended inductor(s) and a cap form a LC circuit?
It doesn't make sense. Open ended inductors are still inductors connected to the circle, their inductance should add to inductance of the circuit and thus form an LC circuit with the cap.
It is incredible hoe many totally unrelated sentences you people can put out without addressing the actual question. Who ever asked you about the left part of the circuit? I only asked if open ended inductor and a cap form an LC circuit or not.
PS you are all wrong, i consulted at Qora and open ended inductors DO infulence the resonant frequency with their inductance and capacitance.

The two inductors form an incomplete circuit with the tied ends shorted. they are invisible to the rest of the circuit.
They have no function or effect. The spark gap will fire once charging C2 to the battery voltage then not after.
(In an ideal circuit).

I guess those open ended inductors are in fact the antenna. That could be a circuit for a spark gap transmitter, but you are right, there needs to be an inductor in series or in parallel with the capacitor C2 to get a resonant circuit.
Alternatively, C1 charges until it hits the breakdown voltage of the spark gap, there's a spark and C1 discharges. The cycle repeats, possibly at a fast rate. C2 and stray inductance cause resonance at an RF frequency and the antennas radiate the RF

Already answered. If those are ideal components, there is no resonant circuit.
