The Catholics tradition bible views on homosexuality are diminishing. As well as society on the whole.
To add, Speaking to reporters on a flight back from Brazil, he reaffirmed the Roman Catholic Church's position that homosexual acts were sinful, but homosexual orientation was not.
Pope Francis said gay clergymen should be forgiven and their sins forgotten.
"The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains this very well," Pope Francis said in a wide-ranging 80-minute long interview with Vatican journalists.
"It says they should not be marginalised because of this but that they must be integrated into society.
In answer yes some do and it would seem this Pope believes they are born this way and also disregards the Bible's stand on homosexuality
To add again
Americans are more tolerant of homosexuality than ever according to a recent Gallup poll. The numbers suggest that rapid changes in public acceptance have come about largely because of promotion of the homosexual agenda in the education system.
Consider the difference in opinion between the young and the old: Of those over 55 years old, only 45 percent support “homosexuality as an acceptable alternative lifestyle”; by contrast, the support among people from 18 to 34 years old is 75 percent (www.lifesite.net, May 30).
One of the starkest changes in opinion over the last 30 years regards the actual cause of homosexuality. According to the Gallup survey, more than half of the population thinks homosexuals are more or less born that way; 11 percent of those believe that, though genetics play a role, environment also factors in, but a full 42 percent agreed that people are simply born homosexual. Thirty years ago, the statistics were flipped: In 1977, 56 percent of the population identified only upbringing and environment as the cause, and only 13 percent of the population thought homosexuals were born homosexual.
The push for pro-homosexual education continues; the California State Senate voted on May 24 “in favor of legislation that would require schools to present and portray homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality as positive choices to children” throughout their K-12 experience.
I find that push and it is a push on young minds-- wrong
Makes me think of the times of Sodom and Gomorrah and what happened there

If indeed the Pope said those words, then yes, they are disregarding the Bible's clear position on homosexuality, at least they are beginning to do so. The Bible does not speak on the biology of homosexuality so it is clearly unscriptural for the Pope to blithely say that God created them the way they are.
The Bible clearly condemns the practice of homosexuality, as indeed the Bible clearly condemns the practice of all sexual immorality - homosexuals are not being targeted. Yet many 'churches' are distancing themselves from the Bible's commands and beginning to follow the world in embracing this behavior. They embrace the word of people in the world and reject the word of the very God they claim to worship. How curious and comforting to know that God's word recorded at Malachi 3:18 has come true before our very eyes: "You will indeed see a distinction between a righteous person and a wicked person, between one serving God and one not serving him." We are in the harvest, just as our Lord Jesus said we would be: the wheat and the weeds - easily confused in their infancy - are now easily discernible. The weeds look just like what they really are: weeds.
"But Hannah," someone may say, "you said curious and comforting. Curious, perhaps. But comforting?" Indeed, yes. Because since this aspect of God's word is coming true, all of his promises to remove all wickedness will come true as well. What a breath of fresh air in this world of toxic fumes.

It certainly seems so! The pope told a homosexual that God made him that way. What a ridiculous thing to say, but he right in a way. The god of this world is none other than SATAN and he may have made the man a homosexual. Don't believe that Satan is the god of this world? Just check out these scriptures; John 12:31
31 Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) 4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.

(James 4:4) 4 Adulteresses, do YOU not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is constituting himself an enemy of God.

Catholics are not sola scriptura since they had Catholic doctrine nearly 400 years before they invented their religious anthology at the behest of the Roman Emperor. Rolls eyes
Incidentally, Catholics also don't stone people to death even though that's in the bible either.
