What would happen if 2 people with Down’s Syndrome had a baby?

Would the extra chromosomes cancel each other out? Would the offspring be non viable? Would they just be sterile? Or would they just produce something unrecognizable? Maybe the offspring would have super powers? No I don’t want to try it. I just have weird things pop into my head, that usually find their way into a story.

o People with Down syndrome have greatly reduced fertility.

Males in particular -- there appears to be one 21-trisomic non-mosaic male fathering a child, in medical literature. One.

    Children are very unlikely.

In the event that there is a pregnancy at all, I would expect

    o a lot of miscarriages

o some of the children would be born completely normal

o some of the children would be born with 21 trisomy Down syndrome

o a few of the children would be born with 21 tetrasomy Down syndrome

    > Would the extra chromosomes cancel each other out?

No. Instead, you get a baby with Down syndrome, and some of the Down syndrome symptoms showing up early. I'll let you look up

    21 tetrasomy

    > Maybe the offspring would have super powers?

No. Dying younger than most Down syndrome people is not a super power.

They are both sterile. They cannot have any kids.
