3 - There is a lot that can be done, but most needs to be done by the government and industry. Individuals don't have that much of an impact.

Inbetween 2 and 3. I do recycle, compost, and have upgraded most of my appliances / fixtures to high efficiency ones. And I also willingly pay slightly more per month on my electric because I'm using my utility company's solar farm for the majority of my energy rather than the coal plant.
